Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants on earth — no pesticides, no fertilizers, barely any water. Coconut shell is a byproduct of an industry that would otherwise burn or discard it. We didn't invent these materials. We just chose to build something meaningful around them, instead of adding one more unnecessary thing to the world.
